With the Mercury Bay Golf Club approximately 50metres from the property, it is a perfect location to be able to stay and walk to golf!

Being a bit of a golf fanatic myself, I can thoroughly recommend the course - it is very picturesque and in wonderful condition.

Although mostly flat and only three bunkers, it has its challenges and isn't quite as easy as it looks! You will enjoy for sure!

Afterwards you can stroll back and sit outside in the courtyard with your refreshments and rest those weary legs!

If you are wanting to visit other courses there is The Dunes Matarangi (about 30 minutes up the coast), Purangi Golf & Country Club (about 30 minutes from here off the Cooks Beach turnoff), Tairua Golf Club (about 30 minutes from here) and The Lakes Pauanui (about an hour from here). We are spoilt for choices. There are others a bit further afield including; Whangamata, Waihi, Coromandel, Thames, Hauraki to name a few.

Whitianga Wharf

Just 5 minutes away you will find the buzzy township of Whitianga. There are lots of things to see and do both locally and out of town.

Visit the i-Site and browse through the brochures - you're sure to find something special to do.

There is always something happening down at the river - fishing boats at the wharf, children's playground, restaurants, and of course the marina with a myriad of craft. Take a 5 minute ferry ride to the other side and once you've walked up the hill and down the other side, there are beautiful beaches to visit at Front Beach and Flaxmill Bay, with Cooks Beach the next beach around!

For visitors from overseas, there's Hot Water Beach with it's natural thermal activity under the sand. Make sure you allow two hours either side of the low tide to be able to dig yourselves a hole and sit in the natural warm water.
